Phlebotomy Technician Job Description

ERP International is seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Technician to support our team at Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients of various ages and health statuses.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding sample collection.
  • Transport specimen samples to the appropriate department.
  • Check in, document, and maintain electronic medical information using the Laboratory Information System.
  • Adhere to infection control, personal protective equipment, and facility standard operating procedures.
  • Complete standardized training and maintain competency in job functions.
  • Provide instruction and training to laboratory personnel and other MTF staff members as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate from a medical phlebotomist-training program accredited by NAACLS or ABHES.
  • Required clinical hours as determined by certification institution.
  • Certification/registration as determined by ASCP or AMT.
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
