Job Summary

United Digestive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Woodstock Endoscopy Center. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our endoscopy center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center, in accordance with physician orders and recognized nursing techniques.

• Plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and safety.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in endoscopy nursing.

Requirements:

• Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Experience in GI endoscopy preferred, with a strong understanding of endoscopy procedures and patient care.

• Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.

• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, with ACLS certification recommended but optional.

• Completion of Airway Management Module required prior to administering IV conscious sedation, with a score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test.

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

• Ability to work under stress and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Moderate periods of sitting and computer use, with good visual acuity and ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.

• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
