Lead Host Job Description

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Host to join our team at the Salish Lodge & Spa. As a Lead Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless guest experience, and leading a team of hosts to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of hosts to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Assist Food and Beverage Managers with scheduling, training, and motivating employees
  • Facilitate sales, customer service, and operations interface daily
  • Supervise division activities, overseeing daily operations of all host activities in F&B outlets
  • Ensure profitability, efficient operations, and adherence to established safety and quality standards
  • Inventories supplies, menus, paper, and message pads
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries and complaints, maintaining favorable team member and guest relations
  • Deal with guests' challenges and communicate all issues with Director of Food and Beverage and Food and Beverage Managers
  • Assure that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged, and following through on all requests
  • Represent the organization as the point of contact, ensuring guests' needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Ensure a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately, and maintaining a clean work area
Requirements:
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training
  • Computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Squirrel POS
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds at shoulder height
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, overhead reaching, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently, and squeezing occasionally
