Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our Public Cloud Enablement & Adoption team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering top-notch technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Enhance the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on system design concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced experience with Java and/or Golang
  • Hands-on AWS experience
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Experience with scripting and working in a Linux/UNIX environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with networking control points such as firewalls, security groups, ingress/egress controllers
  • Experience with automation testing including integration, regression, performance, and smoke testing
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, motivated self-starter who can work independently
