Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Family Advocacy Nurse. This role will involve providing home visiting services, education, and support to families with children ages 0-3, as well as working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary Family Advocacy Program team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage the installation's New Parent Support Program (NPSP)
  • Provide parents with children ages 0-3 with home visiting services, education, and support
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary Family Advocacy Program team to provide comprehensive support to families
  • Develop and maintain clinical records using Family Advocacy System of Records or Family Advocacy Program Network computer software
Requirements
  • BSN from an accredited institution
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unrestricted U.S. state nursing license
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a maternal/child or community health nurse
  • Home Visiting experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support Certification (Course C) required
  • Ability to interact with all types of clients, in person and by telephone, and build rapport with families
Work Environment
  • Work in a standard office environment with occasional travel to private homes and facilities
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines
