Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in preparing patients for CT imaging studies, operating CT scanners, and producing high-quality images to aid in diagnosis and treatment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with radiologists and cardiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for CT imaging studies, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Operate CT scanners and computer systems to produce high-quality images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to determine the best course of action for each patient.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the procedure and any necessary preparation.
  • Inject IV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
Requirements
  • Documented training and experience in CT and operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection.
  • Valid and active ARRT registered Radiography (R) and/or Computed Tomography (CT) certified and/or NMTCB Registered (CNMT) technologist.
  • AHA BLS certification.
Work Environment

This position requires a variable shift schedule, with no on-call requirements. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
