The Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on 3 West, a 36-bed medical surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical and high-acuity patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of medical staff and surgeons to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires.
Requirements
  • Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion, required.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience preferred, new grads are welcome to apply.
