ESL Instructor

Central Carolina Community College is seeking an Adjunct ESL Instructor to join our team of dedicated educators. As a member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of our students by providing high-quality instruction and support.

This part-time position involves teaching Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) courses within Harnett Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching ELLs, a strong passion for education, and excellent communication skills.

• Teach ESL courses to adult learners, creating engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Use student learning outcomes to inform instruction and assessment, ensuring curriculum goals are met.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and encourages active participation.
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for growth.
• Report attendance daily and maintain accurate records.

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or TESOL certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience teaching ELLs, with a focus on adult education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
