Job Overview

Position: QA Tester

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is a distinguished provider of IT solutions, seeking a dedicated QA Tester. This role is designed to be full-time and remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional and quality assurance evaluations on software applications.
  • Create and deliver detailed test plans based on existing requirements, documenting outcomes effectively.
  • Establish and monitor quality assurance metrics, including test coverage, defects, results, and overall test status.
  • Engage in all testing phases, such as functional, performance, regression, and integration testing.
  • Address and resolve all defects identified during the testing process.
  • Exhibit a strong level of initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Assist in the development and validation of security and vulnerability assessments for applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in QA testing, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and deliverables.
  • Proven knowledge of Section 508 compliance and the ability to write test scripts.
  • Experience in Performance testing using JMeter.
  • Familiarity with coordinating test environments and managing test data for analysis.
  • Experience in executing automated test cases and plans.
  • Demonstrated success in tracking and reporting testing progress across various releases.
  • Proficient with test management tools such as Jira or ALM.
  • Preferred experience in testing low code and BPM platforms, particularly Appian.
  • Preferred experience in Automation testing using Selenium or FitNesse.
