Position Overview:
This role is crucial for the success of our retail operations. Retail Sales Associates engage closely with both wholesale and retail clients to assess their requirements, provide answers to inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest suitable solutions. They are also responsible for promptly addressing any customer issues to ensure maximum satisfaction, while staying informed about product features and maintaining the high quality and visual standards of both products and the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in person and via phone by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Achieve sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and product formulas.
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tint and mix products according to customer specifications.
  • Restock shelves and create appealing displays.
  • Keep store equipment clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Support delivery operations as required.
  • Ensure assigned areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Stay knowledgeable about available products and discuss options with customers.
  • Adhere to inventory control procedures.
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must be capable of retrieving materials from shelves and floor stacks, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Hold at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Previous experience in selling paint and related products is advantageous.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial.
