Job Overview

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at St. Joseph's Healthcare System, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care through the use of advanced imaging technologies. Your expertise will be essential in producing accurate and detailed images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine sonographic exams in inpatient and outpatient settings, adhering to established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety.
  • Operate specialized equipment to produce high-quality sonographic images, as well as utilize computer software to enter patient information into hospital databases.
  • Contribute to the excellence of the department by maintaining a commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology or a closely related field, or equivalent occupationally specific education.
  • ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire, or prior to ACR re-accreditation date.
  • Ability to analyze problems and apply basic mathematical and technical principles to resolve them.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
