We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various packaging functions, including trimming and assembling gaskets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products to ensure quality requirements are met, including size and configuration.
  • Clean, trim, and label parts accurately.
  • Assemble gaskets and ensure all parts are properly aligned.
  • Pack parts into boxes and seal them using a tape machine.
  • Stamp boxes with a personal packer stamp.
  • Construct pallets and prepare them for pickup by Material Handlers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe facility.
  • Construct boxes and apply the correct labels.
  • Empty grind buckets and ensure gaskets, rings, and other necessary materials are stocked.
  • Assist with physical inventories and comply with all Employee Conduct and Work Rules.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proper use of cutters and clippers.
  • Maintain a safety-aware attitude and responsible behavior.

Physical Demands:

The successful candidate must be physically able to perform all tasks and duties described in this job description. This includes the ability to bend, stoop, and carry heavy objects weighing up to 40 pounds. The candidate must also be sufficiently mobile to function in a shop floor environment, including the ability to crawl, kneel, lift, pull, sit, stand, and walk for shifts up to 12 hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
