Position Overview

The Westfield Area YMCA is seeking dedicated part-time Water Exercise Instructors to lead classes during morning and evening hours. The role of a Water Exercise Instructor involves conducting sessions in a secure environment, ensuring that all participants' limitations are acknowledged, and guiding them to understand the class structure while engaging in safe and beneficial exercises.

Qualifications:

  • Current certifications in First Aid and BLS for Healthcare Providers are mandatory; candidates must be physically and mentally prepared to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aid proficiently.
  • Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) certification or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Applicants should demonstrate the maturity and capability to manage the responsibilities associated with ensuring a safe aquatic environment.
  • Prior experience in teaching water exercise classes is advantageous.
