We are seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional House Lead to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality support to adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives. The successful candidate will assist clients with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. They will be responsible for outlining and preparing daily routines for clients as written in Individual Program Plans. The Direct Support Professional House Lead will also support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed
- Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary)
- Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the clients
- Support the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers
Requirements:
- DSP 1 and 2 certifications
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARF (Adult Residential Facility) Certificate within 90 days
- Minimum 1 year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors and 1 year supervising experience
- Valid in-state driver's license and a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
