We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Archbold Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, chemistry, blood bank, clinical microscopy, coagulation, immunology, special chemistry, and microbiology.
- Collect and process blood and other bodily fluids for testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science field.
- MT certification by ASCP, AMT, or AAB, or other nationally recognized certification agency.
- New graduates must pass one of the national certification exams within 18 months of hire.
- Competency assessment and continuing education in laboratory sciences required throughout employment.
- Maintenance of certification is required during employment with Archbold Medical Center.
