Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America's Vincennes, IN corrugated facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our converting and corrugating equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct visual inspections and tests to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial/production maintenance experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial/production machinery.
  • Basic electrical experience and troubleshooting ability.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, stoop, and bend.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft and Windows products.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Experience with machine control systems.
  • Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
