Broadcast Production Team Member

Job Description:

The Brown Sports Network is in search of dedicated Production Crew members to contribute to the live broadcast of Brown University Athletics varsity sports, which are accessible on various platforms. The Production Crew plays a vital role in delivering high-quality broadcasts by managing cameras, graphics, replays, and other essential production tools.

Located in a prestigious Ivy League institution, our athletics program features 34 varsity teams and approximately 1,000 student-athletes competing at the NCAA Division I level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up production equipment, including tripods, cameras, and cabling.
  • Managing cable logistics, including pulling, running, and wrapping.
  • Operating production equipment based on skill level, including cameras, graphics, and audio systems.
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members, officials, and broadcasters.
  • Disassembling and organizing equipment post-event.
  • Performing additional tasks based on experience and specific production roles.


The Brown Sports Network welcomes applicants ranging from novices to seasoned professionals with a solid understanding of broadcast cameras and production workflows. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

Experience Levels:
  • Basic: Familiarity with broadcasts and camera operation, with a desire to learn more about production.
  • Experienced: Proficient camera operators capable of managing equipment in a control room setting.
  • Veteran: Experts in all production aspects, capable of directing multi-camera broadcasts and troubleshooting equipment.
