Automotive Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for our customers. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, honing your skills and expertise in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Automotive Technician role include:
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicles to meet CarMax's high standards of safety and reliability
• Collaborating with other technicians to solve technical problems and meet deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety compliance guidelines
• Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with colleagues and management
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A valid driver's license and possession of ASE certifications in relevant areas
