Internship Overview:
We are looking for motivated students eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in tax and accounting. Our internship program provides a comprehensive learning experience where you will engage with tax and audit practices, compliance standards, and collaborate on diverse projects alongside seasoned professionals. Our innovative and adaptable work environment encourages your personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of straightforward to intricate tax returns for individuals and corporations.
- Conduct tax research as necessary.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with the firm's established policies and protocols.
- Review client-provided information and previous tax documents, including wage statements and year-end summaries.
- Accurately compile tax return work papers for business filings.
- Prepare and verify tax returns, forms, and schedules.
- Support colleagues in various departments as needed.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting at an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles relevant to tax return preparation.
- Strong analytical, technical, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and manage stress in a constructive, professional manner.
- Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds, standing or sitting for extended durations, and regularly typing or entering data at a keyboard.
