Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to manage a variety of responsibilities related to the receipt, processing, and distribution of mail within our organization. This role is vital in ensuring efficient mail operations and contributing to our mission of providing high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute incoming and interoffice mail effectively.
- Operate and maintain postal equipment, including automatic postage machines and mail inserters.
- Weigh, stamp, and prepare outgoing mail for delivery.
- Drive state vehicles for the delivery of mail and pick up mail from postal facilities.
- Maintain accurate records and schedules for vehicle maintenance.
- Provide assistance to customers regarding postal services.
- Perform additional duties as required to support mail operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- One year of experience in a mail service or postal operation.
- Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform basic arithmetic tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate postal processing equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be physically capable of lifting moderate to heavy weights and maintaining the stamina necessary for the role.
