U.S. Army Occupational Therapy Assistant Position

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide essential support and care to patients recovering from illnesses or injuries.

Your primary role will involve assisting patients in regaining their independence by helping them perform daily living activities. You will also contribute to promoting physical well-being and educating patients on lifestyle modifications that can enhance their overall health and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, test, and assist patients in performing essential daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Occupational Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients as they work towards achieving their rehabilitation goals.
  • Promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices among patients.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
