Position Overview:

Optum is currently seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our healthcare services. This role is integral to our mission of delivering physician-led care while fostering a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work hours from 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week
  • Providers typically manage 12-hour shifts
  • Average patient load of 3-4 patients per hour
  • Collaborate with a fully licensed medical team and support staff
  • Perform essential procedures including:
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • Initial interpretation of digital X-Rays
  • Incisions and drainage

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC/AANP or as a Physician Assistant through NCCPA
  • A minimum of 2 years of independent practice experience
  • Unrestricted DEA license (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
  • DOT certification (or ability to acquire within the first 60 days)
  • Strong skills in suturing and splinting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
  • Flexibility to assist at other locations as needed
