Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist Lead to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Radiation Therapist Lead, you will be responsible for leading the work of associates in the department, implementing directives related to adjusting staffing levels based on service needs and volumes, and acting as a resource and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription of the Radiation Oncologist
  • Simulate patients in preparation of radiation therapy, provide basic patient care and education
  • Lead the work of associates in the department, implement directives related to adjusting staffing levels
  • Act as a resource and provide technical support
  • Verify treatment plans and beam energy, document treatment parameters and instructions
  • Perform treatment simulation and cerrobend block fabrication
  • Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit, maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Complete daily, progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards
  • Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identify potential areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program
  • ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy and current license in state of practice
  • Current BLS certification
  • Two (2) years of experience, leadership experience preferred
