Job Summary

The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our Adult Infusion Center team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population, utilizing an evidence-based approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in symptom management, supportive care, and patient education to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Two (2) or more years of recent RN adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within last three (3) years.
  • Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, hydration, etc.
  • Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.
  • Demonstrates evidence of basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of complex patients such as oncology and a high degree of attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of adult Oncology Nursing experience.
  • OCN Certification or other relevant specialty certification.
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
