Key Responsibilities:
- Execute nursing tasks within the scope of a Licensed Practical Nurse, including procedures, injections, medication administration, EKGs, and phlebotomy, as outlined by the relevant State Board of Nursing.
- Engage in the implementation of established educational plans for patients and their families addressing common health issues and specific learning needs.
- Coordinate patient care as directed by healthcare providers, registered nurses, and established policies, including referrals, medication management, and follow-up visits.
- Document patient complaints and prepare them for examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Collect patient information regarding symptoms and effectively communicate findings to the healthcare provider.
- Conduct focused nursing assessments, evaluate patient responses to treatments, and communicate findings to the provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments and care in the medical documentation system.
- Review patient records and pertinent information prior to provider consultations and relay relevant details to the healthcare team.
- Ensure a safe clinic environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Uphold patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and treat all patients with dignity and respect.
- Organize and maintain examination and treatment rooms, ensuring they are stocked and sanitized.
- Adhere to standard infection control practices.
- Ensure compliance with medication management policies and accurately document medications and immunizations in patient records.
- Follow laboratory management protocols and collect lab samples with proper labeling.
- Process medication refill requests in accordance with approved guidelines.
- If certified in IV therapy, initiate peripheral lines, monitor flow rates, and manage IV site care.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Florida.
- Current BLS certification.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.
- Proficient computer skills for effective use of electronic medical records.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to perform medical procedures, administer injections, and conduct phlebotomy.
- This position requires Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to specific diseases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IV certification.
- Two or more years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
