The Fashion Stylist Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Stylists as they provide the exceptional Bloomingdale's client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist stylists in delivering an enhanced client experience.
- Ensure the client experience is Easy, Personal, Fashionable, and Fun.
- Engage with clients and finalize sales transactions at the register.
- Maintain a tidy, organized shopping atmosphere for our guests.
- Exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, fostering engaging conversations with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Build partnerships with the leadership team and staff to achieve results and address challenges.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player with peers, supervisors, and vendors.
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers, showcasing a vibrant and positive demeanor.
- Ensure fitting rooms are free of merchandise and ready for clients.
- Comprehend the link between style awareness, product knowledge, service orientation, and sales outcomes.
- Recognize the importance of customer loyalty and its impact on repeat business.
- Support stylists in scheduling and preparing for client appointments.
- Utilize technology to meet customer needs and educate colleagues.
- Provide assistance and expertise regarding credit and transaction-related matters.
- Participate in product knowledge training to enhance understanding of merchandise.
- Manage multiple priorities and serve as a subject matter expert on new procedures in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to engage in conversation with ease.
- Quickly respond to customer needs and inquiries with social ease.
- Maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Detail-oriented with respect to product knowledge.
- Effective communication skills with customers, peers, and management.
- Basic math skills for operating the register, handling cash, and making change.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a learning environment.
- Proficient in selling and building sales through conversational engagement.
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers; demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and learning new procedures.
- Flexible schedule availability based on department and company needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physical Requirements
- Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary for job functions, including handheld devices and cash registers.
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly.
