Job Summary:

KD-Staffing. LLC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Medical Surgical and Surgical Step Down setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical and Surgical Step Down units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues, promoting efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Update and manage patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data and information, utilizing clinical decision support tools to inform care decisions.
  • Adhere to guidelines and policies established by our nursing organization, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects, collaborating with leadership to drive positive change and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • One year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Surgical Step Down setting.
  • Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Willingness to work permanent nights with every other weekend (36hr/week).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Surgical Step Down setting.
  • Recent experience in Step Down, Med Surg, or ICU.
  • Consideration for candidates with extensive acute rehab experience.
