At Research Medical Center, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. As a Charge RN Medical Surgical, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient throughput and high-quality care for our patients.Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure seamless transitions and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
