Key Responsibilities:
The Chair/Director will oversee the delivery of superior clinical services across the Hudson Valley network, ensuring high standards of outpatient care. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Management of the ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology Residency program.
  • Support for educational initiatives at New York Medical College.
  • Facilitation of professional growth and academic contributions for over 15 faculty members.
  • Expansion of the department's clinical and translational biomedical research initiatives.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • An M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. degree.
  • An active New York State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Desirable fellowship training in a subspecialty of Otolaryngology.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Otolaryngology.
  • Eligibility for a senior faculty appointment at New York Medical College.
  • A proven track record as an exceptional clinician with visible clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and develop academic programs in clinical Otolaryngology, education, and research.
  • A successful history of leadership and achievements within an academic health center or a complex healthcare environment.
  • Experience in educational leadership is highly preferred.
  • Evidence of significant scholarly contributions.

About the Department:
The Department of Otolaryngology offers advanced ENT care to both adult and pediatric patients in the Hudson Valley, managing complex cases referred from surrounding healthcare facilities. The department features subspecialties led by fellowship-trained faculty in various areas including General Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Pediatric Otolaryngology. Collaborative translational research is actively pursued with faculty from the Basic Medical Sciences.
