Material Handler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Manpower Group Inc. in Rockville, MD.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing inventory to and from the department. This includes physical handling of inventory and maintaining accurate system records for all transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process materials, client samples, and internal finished goods daily, ensuring quality procedures are followed.
  • Store inventory in accordance with quality and regulatory compliance, providing traceability through accurate system transactions.
  • Support operations by providing timely provision of materials through discrete requisition issue and delivery if required.
  • Maintain stock accuracy through timely system maintenance, including physical counting and routine disposal program.
  • Prepare and ship materials in line with client requirements and relevant shipping SOP documentation.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
