Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter II to join our team at Carowinds. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the park's buildings, structures, and equipment are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine painting and wall covering tasks to maintain the park's aesthetic appeal.
  • Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces as needed.
  • Operate and maintain various power and manual hand tools, including high-pressure low-volume spray machines.
  • Prepare surfaces and remove previous paint to apply new finishes.
  • Order paint supplies and materials as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Cedar Fair's safety guidelines and requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in painting or a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet and use a stepladder up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of sign painting, paints, varnishes, enamels, and other finishes.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Related vocational training or experience in graphic art, fabricating, and installing signs.
