The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist plays a critical role in delivering excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
This position requires expertise in operating ancillary equipment, demonstrating competencies in scrubbing techniques, utilizing good radiation safety practices, and making a positive impact on internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging, including knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
Responsibilities- Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab, including IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet.
- Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Utilize good radiation safety practices.
- Maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
- Two (2) years of current Radiology Technologist experience, including hands-on scrub and interventional experience.
- Completion of an approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Current Arizona State License (MRTBE).
- Current American Heart Association ACLS (preferred) and BLS certifications.
