Job Description: Complex Medical Unit Registered Nurse

">

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Parkwest Medical Center's Complex Medical Unit. As a caregiver in our unit, you will meet daily challenges of caring for patients with a wide array of medical conditions, including nephrology, hepatology, immunology, infectious disease, endocrinology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, and geriatrics.

Nurses on 4 Riverstone have a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative framework with an interdisciplinary team. Patients often have multiple diagnoses, and discharge planning is an important component of the patient's care; nurses collaborate daily with case managers, social workers, pharmacists, and therapists to develop individual patient care plans.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.">
  • Assesses learning needs of patient and family.">
  • Develops and initiates plan of care, involving patient and family.">
  • Recommends interventions.">
  • Evaluates plan of care.">
  • Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision.">
  • Demonstrates willingness to precept employees/students as directed.">
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.">
  • Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.">

Qualifications:

Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience and have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR required.
