Job Title: Clinician I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinician I to join our team at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. As a Clinician I, you will provide high-quality clinical services to our patients, including contraceptive methods, emergency contraception, and medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides contraceptive methods, including self-administered contraceptives and contraceptive injections
  • Provides emergency contraception and performs medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions
  • Performs wart treatment and provides gender affirming care
  • Reviews and interprets medical and social history for all sexual and reproductive health patients
  • Performs appropriate medical screening procedures and exams for all sexual and reproductive health patients
  • Interprets laboratory data and orders additional laboratory investigations when indicated
  • Acts as a clinical resource to health center staff and ensures high-quality clinical care is provided to all patients
  • Manages emergency situations in the health center and participates in staff meetings
  • Contributes to achieving health center productivity and quality standards
  • Demonstrates PPMM customer service standards
  • Assists in other areas of center support work as required

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited FNP or Primary Care PA program for comprehensive primary care centers
  • Current State license and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work cooperatively as a member of a health care delivery team

Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills appropriate to PPMM clinical duties
  • Available to cover at least one evening clinic per week and one Saturday clinic per month, as needed by center
  • Current experience using computer and mouse and willingness to learn new computer skills
