Job Summary
Digbysecurity is a fully licensed and bonded, second generation family owned and operated security and public safety corporation. We partner with government and private agencies to address their security needs through the use of professionally trained armed/unarmed security officers, mobile patrols, physical security risk assessments, pre-employment background checks, security consulting and fingerprinting services.
Job Responsibilities
- Observe, patrol, enforce laws on property, deter criminal activity or other problems and report activities during assigned shift to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Call security or emergency services in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Education and Certification Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates Degree
- Bachelors Degree
- Master's Degree
- National Incident Management System Certification 100,200, 700 & 800
- 20 Hour Basic Security Training Certificate
- 20 Hour Armed Training Certificate
- Valid Firearms Owner's ID Card (FOID)
- Valid State ID
- Permanent Employment Registration Card (PERC/Blue Card)
Additional Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be certified in the State of Illinois as evidenced by providing a copy of their Basic 20 hr Security training certificate by a State of Illinois certified training facility
- Provide a valid State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
- Possess a Social Security Card
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Undergo a complete criminal background check
- Successfully pass a comprehensive Panel I through IV drug test
- Pass a State of Illinois and Federal fingerprint background screening test
- Pass a Psychological Examination
- Pass a Medical Examination
- Pass a Mass Transit Safety Training Class
