Job Opportunity for Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide services to students with diverse needs in educational settings. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and contribute to their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to address students' goals and objectives
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, targeting areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, activities of daily living, and visual-motor skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' progress and educational needs
  • Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance students' participation and independence
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' occupational therapy needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Washington Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IEP process and special education laws and regulations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
