Sushi Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Artisan to join our team at Sushi Den. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Sushi Artisans at Sushi Den create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish. They prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi, using fresh fruits and vegetables. Our ideal candidate will have excellent knife skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will also possess great communication skills, being able to coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies. They will monitor food stock and place orders as needed, and recommend new, modern recipes. A clean and hygienic workspace is essential, and the ability to perform any function around the sushi bar is required.

• Knowledge and/or interests in Japanese cuisine
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Excellent knife skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Authorized to work in the US
