Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Logistics Operator is tasked with the responsibility of transporting goods and operating various delivery vehicles, which may include box trucks and cargo vans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts deliveries while ensuring a superior level of customer satisfaction.
  • Completes all necessary vehicle assessments, driver logs, and associated documentation as required.
  • Proactively informs management of any vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Loads delivery vehicles and organizes route documentation.
  • Utilizes stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks as necessary.
  • Contributes to achieving established performance metrics.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and guidelines set forth by the organization.
  • Maintains a tidy and secure work environment for all drivers and warehouse personnel by practicing cleanliness.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • A clean driving record and a valid state-issued Class C Driver's License are mandatory.
  • Previous experience in driving or delivery is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED, or a minimum of 2 years of driving experience is preferred.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure in a collaborative environment and communicating efficiently with team members.

Work Environment:

The working conditions are typical of a standard distribution center and delivery vehicle. Employees may occasionally encounter elevated areas, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and elevated noise levels. Daily tasks may involve being confined to a vehicle.
