Job Summary

Comprehensive Community Action is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-GED Educator to join our team. As a Pre-GED Educator, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to adult learners in reading and math skills, with the goal of preparing them for the GED exam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Develop and implement lesson plans to teach reading and math skills to adult learners, with a focus on preparing them for the GED exam.
  • Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly, using data to inform teaching decisions.
  • Individualized Learning Plans: Create and implement individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and collaborate with other educators to share best practices and resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Math, or a related field.
