Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. As a key member of our Anesthesiology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia care to our patients.

• Provide anesthesia technician services to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia care provider.
• Perform duties under direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider, including preparing and maintaining patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipment, and report defects or malfunctions in equipment to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Document and maintain preventative maintenance and quality records.
• Assist with transportation of patients and laboratory specimens as necessary.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• Graduate from an approved ASATT school preferred.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• 2 years of healthcare experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred.
