Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners in inpatient and outpatient settings, performing various imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other imaging staff to ensure accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and obtaining consent
  • Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Practice aseptic and sterile techniques for all procedures
  • Work within the MRI Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or ARMRIT certification
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification
  • Vocational School Graduate
