Position Summary: The Radiologic Technologist II plays a crucial role in conducting a diverse range of radiographic examinations utilizing both stationary and portable imaging equipment, including c-arms in surgical settings.

Essential Requirements:

  • This role necessitates specialized training in imaging within surgical environments, emphasizing sterile field protocols and radiation safety for patients and surgical teams.
  • Employees in this position will operate with limited supervision, requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Effective communication and collaboration within the medical environment are essential, as this role involves significant interaction with patients, colleagues, and physicians.
  • The position serves a broad spectrum of patient demographics, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and seniors, with regular exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Work hours may vary, necessitating flexibility for overtime or on-call duties.
  • The job is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, and assistance in other areas may be required during periods of low patient volume.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Possession of a valid Ohio Radiographer License.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of radiographic equipment, including mobile units and portable C-arm machines.
  • A willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
  • Capacity to endure prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.
