Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Family Practice to support Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The successful candidate will provide care within ethical and legal boundaries, synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions. The candidate will assess patient needs telephonically and provide telephone and in-person assessment/evaluation. The candidate will also prescribe and communicate treatment plans and patient teaching, in accordance with established protocols. The candidate will collect and assess significant history information and perform all necessary patient teaching. The candidate will set up, operate and monitor specialized medical equipment and perform/assist with procedures such as oxygen administration, EKGs, eye/ear irrigations, splinting phlebotomy support staff protocols and other clinic specific procedures, in accordance with established protocols. The candidate will ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each work shift. The candidate will also ensure preventive maintenance and routing cleaning are performed as directed. The candidate will ensure medication/supplies are replenished. The candidate will participate in the orientation/training of newly assigned personnel, as appropriate. The candidate will ensure safe work environment, employee safe work habits and patient safety in accordance with regulatory agencies, infection control policies, and process improvement initiatives. Telehealth nursing is an important part of the nursing services performed and shall be performed at the Medical Center.
Requirements
Associates Degree in Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS). Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Full time experience of at least 24 months within the last 60 months in an Adult Primary Care Outpatient clinic setting. Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse. MUST BE US CITIZEN
