Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Development Teacher to join our team at Adams 12 Five Star Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing language development instruction for Multilingual learners (MLs) in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize language development instruction consistent with the district curriculum.
  • Utilize the WIDA framework and standards in the development of lesson plans.
  • Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure best practices for MLs are implemented throughout the school day.
  • Administer required language proficiency tests and maintain cumulative folders with required paperwork for English language learners.
  • Run student reports weekly to ensure accuracy of data and collaborate with building administration to collect and complete all required paperwork for the ML student redesignation process.
  • Assist in monitoring Fluent English Proficient (FEP) students who have exited from ELD services within the last two years and remain current in all district CLDE related communications.
  • Attend IEP, Section 504, or other related meetings necessary for student assessment and/or compliance with federal and/or state law.
  • Facilitate ELD Consult model for consult students when applicable and assist in collecting and analyzing data for increasing student achievement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Valid Colorado Educator License.
  • ESL, Bilingual, or (LDE) Linguistically Diverse Education, (CLDE) Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement required.
