Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens and reporting results in all areas of the clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Process laboratory specimens and report results in all areas of the clinical laboratory.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation of results and follow laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality control practices are maintained in the laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Scientist training program or equivalent clinical training.
  • Associate degree or completion of at least 60 semester hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited college/university, including 6 semester hours in Biology and 6 semester hours in Chemistry, or successful completion of a U.S. military medical training course or equivalent.
  • Certified/Registered or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, meeting the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Laboratory Science and completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Scientist training program.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
