**Job Summary**

The Pharmacy Technician - Patient Care Specialist will play a vital role in promoting patient care and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This individual will be responsible for retrieving medications, inputting customer and prescription information, creating prescription labels, and adjudicating insurance claims.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Retrieve medications from inventory and ensure accurate dispensing
  • Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system
  • Create prescription labels and process insurance claims
  • Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders
  • Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department
  • Stock prescription medication and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy
  • Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers
  • Prioritize workload and maintain effective communication skills

**Requirements**

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or community practice experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Proficient typing skills and neat handwriting
