Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in providing direct patient care, including exercises, treatments, and education.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
  • Prefer experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with neat handwriting.
  • Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, maintain an upright position, and move objects up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and balance while performing tasks.
