We are seeking a seasoned Java Engineer with a strong background in the healthcare sector. This role is pivotal in enhancing and maintaining critical applications that support health initiatives.

Role Summary

GDI Infotech is on the lookout for a senior programmer analyst proficient in Java, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React JS). The successful candidate will focus on the development and support of applications related to maternal health and auditory health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality, testable code utilizing Java, Spring MVC, and Hibernate for object-relational mapping, along with JQuery/HTML5, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and Angular.
  • Design and maintain applications leveraging the Apache Struts framework.
  • Apply design patterns such as Intercepting Filter, Front Controller, Session Façade, DAO, Singleton, and Service Locator.
  • Oversee the complete software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering and drafting functional/technical specifications for intricate projects.
  • Create and manage database objects, including stored procedures and functions, with a solid grasp of logical and physical database models.
  • Diagnose issues using SQL and PL/SQL scripts, optimizing SQL queries and scripts.
  • Utilize version control systems like GIT and application servers such as Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, and Web Sphere.
  • Prepare software design documentation and collaborate with stakeholders for validation and approval.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in developing complex software systems using Java and Java IDEs like Eclipse and STS.
  • 8+ years of expertise in Java JEE Struts Framework.
  • 10+ years of proficiency in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
  • 8+ years of experience with Java JEE Spring/Spring Boot Framework 3.0.
  • 8+ years of development experience using Hibernate/JPA framework.
  • 5+ years of project experience with Angular/React JS and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Over 5 years of experience in JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment, including JBOSS Workflow.
  • 5+ years of familiarity with CMM/CMMI Level 3 methodologies.
  • 5+ years of implementing agile development processes, including test-driven development.
  • 3+ years of experience or knowledge in creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps is a plus.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and HL7 solutions.
  • Knowledge of 5010 EDI X12 healthcare claims processing solutions.
