Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, Inc. is a community hospital serving Mitchell, Yancey, lower Avery and upper McDowell counties. We are seeking a dedicated EVS Tech - Housekeeper to join our team. As an EVS Tech - Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing environmental service duties that promote a safe, clean, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment that contributes to the healing process.

• Routinely demonstrates both knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques and infection control methods necessary to maintain the departments established quality standards.
• Demonstrates competence in the safe handling, removal and internal transport of solid, recycling, medical waste, and hazardous drug wastes.
• Is considerate, courteous and polite to all who enter the facility, demonstrating the key values and concern and providing assistance as required.

• 8 Hours Hazardous Waste Management - Awareness Training required within 90 days of employment. Training to be renewed every three years.
• High School Diploma or GED, 8 Hour RCRA Training- DOT Training on manifest signing as HAZ-MAT employee.
• Previous healthcare housekeeping experience of 1 year.
