We are seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. This role involves directing construction operations, financial reporting, and project control activities for a designated electrical project or a portfolio of concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and maintain job cost control, providing monthly reports.
  • Project Forecasting: Ensure accurate project projections and cost-to-complete analyses.
  • Billing Management: Ensure timely project billings and collections to uphold financial health.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Estimating team on bid turnover and project startup processes.
  • Job Setup: Complete job setup, including entering project budgets into accounting systems.
  • Documentation Review: Perform thorough analysis of plans and specifications for clear interpretation.
  • Team Coordination: Assist in coordinating project personnel to ensure timely and budget-compliant progress.
  • Procurement Management: Develop submittals/shop drawings, manage material procurement, and address supply chain challenges.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports, studies, and statistical analyses as required.
  • Scheduling: Plan work schedules and project manpower needs while managing quality assurance and control.
  • Contract Management: Handle subcontracts and purchase orders, reviewing subcontractor payments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor subcontractor performance, project scheduling, and cost control.
  • Communication: Participate in project coordination meetings and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, and trade partners.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Mentor and develop field team members while effectively managing the overall team.
  • Act as a liaison for company and employee communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of all assigned personnel, recommending personnel actions as necessary.
  • Conduct interviews, select, train, and assign tasks to all assigned personnel.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders.
  • Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting construction plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient organizational skills and expertise in MS Office.
  • OSHA-30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Some field experience in electrical installation preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate objectives and construction contracts.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and time management abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and create cohesive teams.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Bluebeam.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish healthy working relationships.
Education and Experience
  • 2+ years of degree in construction technology, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical construction, including project management.
  • 2+ years of Design Build experience.
  • Proficiency with NEC.
  • Clean driving, drug screen, and background records.
